Dear Parents, Carers and Community Members
Bannister Creek Primary School has seen a shift in teaching and learning as we engage our students in the Western Australian Digital Technologies curriculum. Last year, when reviewing our use of Digital Technologies in the school, teachers identified that students needed to have more flexible access to devices. Plans were put in place to support teachers to use technologies more effectively in the classroom. This has been implemented and we are now ready to transition to a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program in 2019. The School Board has endorsed the decision to roll out a staggered implementation timeline over 3 years. This will begin with our 2019 Year 3 and 4 students who will be required to have a personal iPad for use at school.
The school will be running three Parent information sessions in the School Library on the following dates and times:
- Thursday 23rd August 7:00pm
- Wednesday 29th August 8:50am
- Thursday 30th August 3:00pm
Please click on the link below to book into a session. Whilst these sessions are primarily directed at our current Year 2 and 3 parents, all members of our school community are encouraged to attend.
